‘Mobile phones revolutionise e-commerce in Africa’

The Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) Tuesday released the results of a comprehensive study into the economic value of mobile phone use in Africa, particularly in the banking sector. Afrique en Ligne reports.“The study, undertaken by three academics, examined how mobile phones had ‘revolutionised’ e-commerce in Senegal, Kenya and South Africa, and the economic impact this has had on the rural populations in the three countries.”  More
